This video shows the installation of a conservation oyster reef at the Virginia Aquarium located in Virginia Beach, VA in 2015 by members of the Crystal Club Foundation, including Jason Barney from Virginia Beach, VA. The project is a partnership between the Crystal Club Foundation, the Rudee Inlet Foundation, and the Virginia Aquarium. The purpose for the project is to construct a conservation oyster reef made from oyster shell, in order to grow oysters that will help improve both water quality and aquatic habitat in Lake Rudee. The video shows the different steps taken to construct the reef. Thank you to Virginia Beach City Councilmen Ben Davenport and John Uhrin for their support of the project. Also thanks to Josh Malbon from Swamp Wreck who produced the video.
